ABOUT zach north:
Zach’s been building for over 16 years, and there’s just something different about the way he works—fast, precise, and always creative. He got his start the old-school way, hammer in hand, building backyard skate ramps with his grandpa. That spark turned into a career that’s taken him across the country, where he’s built skateparks with a close friend—including one in Ryan Sheckler’s backyard. From there, his work expanded into big commercial projects for Little Caesars, Papa Johns, Jersey Mike’s, major hospitals, and sunrooms for Champion Windows. These days, Zach pours that same energy and craftsmanship into building one-of-a-kind decks for homeowners, creating spaces that feel as good as they look.
Zach’s work ethic is unmatched—he’s quick, dependable, and never cuts corners. Just as important, he’s laid-back, friendly, and easy to get along with, making the whole building process feel stress-free. When you hire Zach, you’re working directly with him from start to finish—no middlemen, no big crews, just one craftsman who knows every detail of your project inside and out. That means clear communication, consistency, and a personal touch you won’t find with larger companies. Every deck he builds carries the same mix of care, fair pricing, and a little artistry inspired by his love for nature and his free-spirited, “hippie” roots. He works with all materials, but he’s especially excited about the future of composite decking—blending modern durability with timeless craftsmanship. At the end of the day, Zach’s mission is simple: to create spaces where families can slow down, connect, and grow together.
When Zach isn’t out building, you’ll usually find him spending time with his fiancée Christine and their son, Oliver. He loves being outdoors—whether that’s hiking, skating, or just enjoying a laid-back day with family and friends. Originally from Michigan, Zach put down roots in Ohio, where he balances his passion for carpentry with other creative outlets like painting large-scale murals. He also loves to travel and ride BMX, which feed into his adventurous, free-spirited outlook on life. That same creativity, energy, and easygoing nature carry over into his work—making every project not just a deck, but a personal extension of the families he builds for.
